We are committed to investing in programmes that help to break the cycle of poverty through sustainable livelihood solutions.

We believe the success of a society can only be measured by the standard of living for the poorest people within that society. Around two-thirds of people living below the poverty line are in rural and semi-rural areas, where much of the work is farm-based and weather-dependent.

Increasingly, outcomes are being affected by climate change. We work with local organisations to help mitigate these circumstances and develop skills in rural communities surrounding ACG plants, to empower communities to protect their own incomes.

Our Livelihood programme
has a two-pronged approach

  • Farmer Empowerment Through Better Practices

Improve the knowledge of farmers for better agricultural practices and better yield on their produce. To encourage this, we provide technical support to farmers to help them grow the crops that have better market value, such as horticultural crops, floriculture and vegetable cultivation.

  • Youth Skills Development for Local Employment

We work with local partners to provide the younger generation with job-oriented skills and assist in ensuring  placements within local industries, matching their relevant skillsets, to bridge the gaps between jobs and out-of-work young people.
